Description
This article explains how to configure the Kronos1200-AC in Repeater Mode using a mobile device with Android or iOS operating system.
The configuration is done through a web browser, so there is no need to install any application.
Requirements
- Repeater Kronos1200-AC
- Mobile device with Android or iOS
- Access to the Wi-Fi network password you want to extend
Recommendations Before Starting
To avoid issues during configuration:
- Do not connect the Kronos1200-AC to the router or modem via an Ethernet cable.
- During configuration, the mobile device must be connected only to the Kronos1200-AC Wi-Fi network.
- If the mobile device automatically switches to a network with Internet access, temporarily disable mobile data or the automatic network switching feature to avoid interruptions during configuration.
Step 1. Verify Operating Mode
Locate the side switch on the Kronos1200-AC and confirm it is set to the Repeater position.
Step 2. Power On the Kronos1200-AC
Plug the repeater into a power outlet.
If the device is off, turn it on using the side switch.
Wait about one minute until the startup process is complete.
Step 3. Connect to the Kronos1200-AC Wi-Fi Network
From your mobile device:
- Open the Wi-Fi settings.
- Look for a network with a name similar to:
Nexxt_XXXXXX
(where XXXXXX corresponds to the last six characters of the device’s MAC address).
- Select that network.
If it asks for a password, use:
12345678
Note: The default password can also be found on the label located on the Kronos1200-AC.

Step 9. Verify the Connection
Once the configuration is complete:
The Kronos1200-AC will start retransmitting the wireless signal of the main network.
By default, the new network will have a name similar to the following:
NetworkName-ext
For example:
- HomeWiFi
- HomeWiFi-ext
Connect to this new network and verify that you have Internet access.
Important Information
Important: The Kronos1200-AC is a discontinued product and no longer receives firmware updates or maintenance from the manufacturer. Because of this, some current browsers or mobile devices may have difficulty accessing the configuration interface due to incompatibilities with the security certificates or web protocols used by the device.
If it is not possible to access the configuration page even after following the steps in this article, it is likely that this limitation is due to the product’s age and not a device malfunction.
In that case, it is recommended to replace the Kronos1200-AC with a more recent Wi-Fi repeater or Mesh system, either from Nexxt Solutions or any other brand of your choice, which offers compatibility with current browsers, modern security standards, and better wireless performance.
Recommendations
- Install the Kronos1200-AC in a location where it still receives a good signal from the main router.
- Avoid placing it in areas where the signal strength is very low, as this will affect the performance of the extended network.
- If you change the name or password of the main Wi-Fi network, you will need to configure the Kronos1200-AC again.
